Technological performance of this system commercial application at Russian oil producing enterprises is reviewed. Sufficient efficiency and operational selectivity of proposed technology is stated.

Reviewed is the history of the development of thermal methods in Russia, including the most perspective of them: technological process of thermo-cycling stimulation of oil formation; technological process of stimulation by steam-gas heat carrier; technology of steam/thermal cycle well treatment. A conclusion has been made that utilization of thermal methods allows not only to improve efficiency of field development with high viscous oil, but also, to involve wells being under conservation into efficient operation.

It is shown, that based on the new mechanism of destroying emulsions in the presence of deemulsifyer at turbulent flow regime, 14 highly efficient technologies and processes of oil gathering and treatment have been designed, tested and implemented on JSC "Tatneft" oil fields.

A softwear package for determination of optimum well circulating parameters and drilling mud properties has been developed. Calculations have been conducted to show, that drilling of slim hole horizontal wells requires application of muds with increased yield dynamic stress and relativily low plastic viscosity. Drilling muds with enhanced structural-mechanical properties are proposed.

It is noted, that for the fields of complex geological structure at the late stage of development the problem of utilizing horizontal wells becomes of great importance. It is shown, that drilling of horizontal wells enables to significantly enhance technological and economical parameters, secure higher recovery rates and increase oil recovery factor by 10-15%.
