ПО ТЕМЕ "POLITICAL SYSTEMS OF THE
WORLD"
В нашей школе создана общественная организация - Республика Мальчишек и Девчонок (РМиД).
На уроках общественно-политического содержания ученики сравнивают политическое устройство великих мировых держав с устройством школьной детской организации. Предлагаю вашему вниманию урок английского языка, который является одним из завершающих по теме "Western Democracies" учебника английского языка для Х-Х1 классов (авторы: В.П. Кузовлев, Н.М. Лапа, Э.Ш. Пере-гудова и др.). Задача урока - повторить учебный материал раздела и подготовиться к зачету.
Тема урока: Political systems of the world.
Воспитательная цель: осознание реалий родной культуры.
Развивающая цель: развитие способности к сравнению, формулированию выводов из полученной информации.
Образовательная цель: обобщение знаний об устройстве системы самоуправления школы - РМиД.
Учебные цели:
- совершенствование лексических навыков;
- развитие умения воспринимать на слух содержание аутентичных текстов;
- развитие монологической речи.
Языковой и речевой материал:
- лексика раздела "Western Democracies";
- модальный глагол shall.
Методы: работа в микрогруппах, метод эвристического исследования, наглядно-иллюстративный метод.
Оснащение: мультимедийный проектор, слайд-проект, флаги США, России, Великобритании, портреты лидеров, карточки с определениями политических терминов, схемы «политического» устройства РМиД, компьютеры для индивидуальной работы, магнитофон, герб РМиД, опорный конспект для рефлексии.
Ход урока:
I. Организационно-психологический
момент
В начале урока звучит гимн Российской Федерации (один куплет).
Teacher (T): Good afternoon, children! I'm happy to see you! We have begun our lesson with the national anthem of our country. We are all citizens of Russia. In my opinion a man can't live outside a state. The life of citizens depends on the political system of the state. I'm convinced that every citizen has to know everything about it. That's why our theme today is "Political systems of the world". Today we will talk about the main parts of different political systems. Imagine that we are participants in a conference about the political systems of different countries. You will be divided into three groups. The first group will be politicians from Russia. The second group will be politicians from the U.S.A. The third group will be politicians from the United Kingdom. (На столы групп ставятся флаги стран.)

T: Government policy is the theme of many aphorisms. Look at the blackboard, read these aphorisms, and try to find the correct translation.

T: All political systems have the same parts. But there are many other kinds of differences. Now we'll make them clear. Choose a representative from your group. He or she must go to the blackboard and complete the right information in the table.

Во время работы трех учеников у доски со всеми остальными организуется работа по повторению политических терминов. Для этого используются карточки, у которых на одной стороне напечатано определение термина, а на другой стороне - термин.

- the head of government in Russia (the Chairman)

IV. Развитие умений монологической речи
T: Our school also has its own political system. This is the Republic of Boys and Girls. Try to fill in a chart of this political system's hierarchy.
Ученикам предлагается слайд для заполнения таблицы, где изображается схема, в которой даны только определения. Опираясь на них, ученики заполняют свои схемы и озвучивают их.

V. Повторение грамматического материала; индивидуальная работа
T: What is the most important part of the political system? (Ученики высказывают свои мысли.) I agree with you: the head of the state - the leader. Who is the leader in your group? (Выбирается по одному представителю от группы, которые садятся за компьютеры и выполняют предложенное задание.)
Задание для индивидуальной работы. Определите функции министерств РМиД. Используя модальный глагол shall, составьте предложения. Например: The department of social policy shall
work with the junior classes.

T: Try to express your attitude towards them in a poem. For example, here is a poem about the leader of the Republic of Boys and Girls:

Ученики составляют синквейны (пятистишия) о своих лидерах, затем зачитывают их для других групп, используя слайды с фотографиями лидеров.
VII. Активизация грамматического материала
Т: The leaders of your groups are also very skilled, gifted and prudent. They tried to determine the functions of the departments of the Republic of Boys and Girls. Listen to them and make notes in your tables. (Ученики, работавшие за компьютерами, называют функции министерств, остальные записывают их в свои таблицы.)
На мультимедиа появляется вся информация о Республике Мальчишек и Девчонок.
VI. Активизация лексики
T: In my opinion, the policy of the state depends on the leader of the state. This man should have various special qualities. Look at the blackboard and choose only the positive qualities of the right leader.
(Ученики выбирают положительные качества, а отрицательные убирают с доски.)

T: Every nation has its own symbols. They are as important as the leader and the work of all parts of political systems. Now we will listen to the texts about the symbols of your

countries. If you hear information about your country's symbol, show us this symbol. You have them on your tables. (Прослушиваются четыре текста, ученики должны поднять флаг, когда они слышат информацию о своем символе. Один текст - о символе РМиД.)
This symbol was introduced in 2000. The two main colors - green and white - make up the central combination. The green field is the sign of youth. A white owl symbolizes wisdom and longevity. A girl and a boy who are profiled on the owl represent friendship and fellowship. A book near the children symbolizes the thirst for knowledge.
