ИНТЕНСИВНОСТЬ ГЕОМОРФОЛОГИЧЕСКИХ ПРОЦЕССОВ НА ОСТРОВАХ И ПОБЕРЕЖЬЯХ МОРЕЙ КАРСКОГО И ЛАПТЕВЫХ (ПО МАТЕРИАЛАМ НАБЛЮДЕНИЙ ПОЛЯРНЫХ СТАНЦИЙ)

The huge amount of polar meteorological stations data for the 1914-1960 period was analyzed. The rates of coast destruction were evaluated by measuring the changing distances from its escarp edge to various fixed objects. The intensity of all the geomorphic processes on the islands and on the coasts was determined mainly by the weather conditions of the given year. The period of warming of the Arctic in the years 1930-1940 was characterized by high activity of the processes. With the beginning of the temperature fall in the 1950s, the intensity of some processes reduced; its activation was usually connected with local causes. In the present time, when irregular warming takes place in Arctic, the rates of processes are the same as earlier. The main factor of space localization of the most intensive processes is the distribution of ice-contenting rocks and ice bodies in the loose sediments.

Until 2007 Korbel's method has been used for 50 years since its development. This method is still the basic one in Russia and abroad in evaluating the karst processes intensity. In this paper we discuss the characteristics and problems of its application by different authors.

The development of coastal geosystems of the Bratsk reservoir is determined by its water level conditions. The southern part of reservoir is characterized by wide occurrence of the soluble carbonate rocks, which is the cause of the typical karst forms development as well as associated deformations such as karst-landslides and large karst-ero-sion forms.

The main results of late decades in the field of deposits' redistribution analysis are basically the development of Makkaveyev's concept of single erosion-accumulation process. There are four primal lines of investigation: field monitoring of the small catch basins; an eliciting of deposits' redistribution dynamics by radionuclides' and other markers' concentration in soil; paleogeomorphologic investigations; integrated investigations of erosion-accumulation intensiveness within small catch basins. The simultaneous using of several approaches in concrete area investigation of erosion and accumulation rates is strongly recommended.

The upper level of filling the Chuisk basin with lacustrine waters reached 2250 m. The evidences were obtained by analysis of lake terraces, erratic blocks and lacustrine-glacial deposits. This level differs from 2100 to 2250 at different sites, depending on the slope steepness, exposure, and rock composition.

Retrospective analysis of channel alterations revealed durable tendencies of channel processes in the heavy branchy riverbed area known as "Yakut Robbery". The rates and volumes of channel deformations as well as the effect of seasonal freezing and perennial frozen upon these processes were estimated. Together with flow cinematic calculations for affluent phase of water regime it helped developing the prognostic assessment of channel processes and their impact on engineering facilities and navigation conditions.

МОРФОЛИТОГЕНЕЗ ПРИПЛОТИННОГО УЧАСТКА ВОТКИНСКОГО ВОДОХРАНИЛИЩА

The bed off the Votkinsk (Kama river) reservoir dam reach is leveling on the whole. Intensive wash out is predominant at low and middle depth. Some bottom elevations were lowered by 1-2 m during 15 years. Material is transported into deep water - more than 6-8 m. Maximum thickness of accumulated deposits reaches up to 5 m, while average values are about 1.1-1.5 m. Facial composition of deposits depends on hydrologic factors: unstable level of reservoir, frequency and strength of storms, ephemeral and perennial currents.

Morphostructural analysis of the NW Caucasus is fulfilled from the position of the plate tectonics. The regions of concordant and inverse relief are determined. The hierarchy of morphostructures is represented by regionahzation suggested. The main orographic units have heterogenic character; the role of the transversal faults in their formation is shown. Some of the faults bound the whole mountain system.

The paper shows the possibility of using the largest seismically induced paleolandslides for estimation of magnitude of generative earthquake, total volume of displaced material, and the contribution of seismically induced landslides to erosion. This approach is independent one in the context of traditional paleoseismological method. It may significantly improve the results of seismotectonic dislocations study and is an alternative method in case of bad preservation or absence of such dislocations. The method was tested in epicentral zone of Chuya eatrthquake (SE Altai).

The disposal of the exhaust nuclear fuel and radiowastes into the ocean-bed under clastic deposits on the continental margin may serve as alternative to the established practice of land burial. The landslides are an important lithodynamic factor within this geomorphologic zone. The artificial landslides may form the clastic deposits flow to cover the storage containers previously located on the bottom. The choice of appropriate places in the ocean is practically indefinite.

The compiling of the ecologic-geomorphologic map of Northern Eurasia (scale 1:8000000) aims to gather and evaluate in general corresponding materials for this territory. The ecologic-geomorphologic map of the East-European Plain central regions (scale 1:1000000) is designed largely for prognosis. The rise of hazardous situations depends not only of number of processes but mostly of their intensity. Three types of regions are distinguished: with low, middle and high degree of ecologic-geomorphologic hazards. The intensiveness of different hazardous processes is estimated according to 4-balls scale.

The paper concerns gulley erosion as the component of erosion-accumulation process on the catch basin. The analysis is based on some ideas of N.I. Makkaveyev. The gulley being the link between the area of watershed and the river and balka valleys has different functions - from the main source of silt load moving to the larger links of drainage network to the transboundary flux or accumulation zone.

The reconstruction of the Khvalyn basin coastline was fulfilled with the use of digital elevation model SRMT 30. The previous reconstructions were taken into account. The paleocoastline lay was adjusted by comparison of different reconstruction and their juxtaposition on the SRMT 30.
